Social Networks

Computing in Social Networks

Social networks are the newest phenomena on the Internet. Social networks and various web-based community systems for the first time turning individual relationship information amenable to computer processing.

In one hand this can shatter the notion of classical privacy. It also has interesting applications potential.

In this research, we explore how algorithmics can used for numerous interesting computing on a social network weaved in the virtual communities and social networks.

We have shown algorithmics for various social processes such as how to perform social negotiation, how to determining conflict of interest, how to infer various trust or influence chain relationships with interesting applications such as building a crime-watch network in a neighborhood, mobilize community, plan immunization scheme and more.
